The Model

The SLK 300 was Mercedes entry-level (engine size) to the successful compact luxury sports roadster. A great roadster with a cool power-retractable hardtop.

Standard equipment on the SLK300 includes 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and a premium audio system with a 5-inch LCD screen and an in-dash six-CD changer.

It has a 3.0L V6 with 228 HP horsepower and a seven-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0L V6 gives impressive performance as well as good fuel economy, up to 19 city and 26 highway. One of the nicest feature of the SLK model is the retractable hard top. With the top up the car feels solid and quiet. With the top down it's a wonderful open air sports car.

The Car

This SLK 300 is in great condition, and a very fun drive. For around town, it has the right compromise between comfort and performance: soft enough to be comfortable on your city roads, and wonderful road holding performance when the roads become twisty. Build quality is excellent - and the consumer reviews have been great.
