This Honda S2000 is in great condition and ready for driving on the track or back roads. It's known as an outstanding performance car, often recognized as a highly capable track and race car. Significant preparation has been done to prepare the S2000 for track performance with its inherently low weight and double wishbone suspension on both axels. This car also features Honda’s one off X-bone chassis It does not meet emissions standards due to its modified "off-road use only" exhaust. However, it is worth noting that the car could meet emissions requirements again with the simple installation of a factory exhaust system or catalytic converter.
The engine is the AP1 high-revving (9,000 RPM redline) stock 2.0-liter DOHC F20C1 inline-four cylinder that runs great. The engine was replaced in 2012 at 110,000 miles. The stock 6-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly, and the clutch was replaced in 2022 with an ACT package and lighter flywheel. The suspension features Fortune 510 coil-overs and Enkei 17” wheels. Initially, this car was a daily driver in stock spec setup. In more recent years, the S2000 has been modified for weekend fun and aims to become a full track race car. All factory sound deadening was removed, and there is a fully welded interior cage including a carbon fiber hard top.
A fantastic experience sports car that would make for a great track day car, as well as the option for those days to enjoy back road adventures. A true testament to Honda’s renowned build quality. This car comes equipped with factory door panels and includes a collection of service receipts and detailed records of the work done.
EXTERIOR
The Silverstone Metallic is in good condition with some minor blemishes, mostly rock chips on the front bumper. Enkei 17” wheels in very good condition. Factory soft top assembly was removed for a Seibon carbon fiber hard top bolt in. Front glass is good condition. APR cardon fiber side mirrors.
Interior
Clean interior. Sport OMP seats with 6-point harness fastened to the Rennscot harness collars. OMP steering wheel. Full interior welded 12 point roll cage. Cold factory air-conditioning system. Power window. Aftermarket stereo system. The convertible top is no longer available due to the roll cage. LRB Speed aluminum door panels for a clean appearance as well as functional for power window switch, door handle, and speaker opening.
