This beautiful Jaguar XK120 is unique, a special. The Roadster body of the XK120 has received a few changes, to name a few, the front windscreen has been replaced with two vintage Brookland individual screens, a roll bar was added behind the drivers head, and the chassis has been lengthened by 4 inches to increase the interior space. The custom details continue, with upgrades to the engine cooling system, upgraded to a 5 speed transmission, and upgraded disc brakes at all 4 corners.
The car drives nice. The engine pulls strong and smooth, and the 5 speed transmission is a wonderful upgrade. Brakes feel good. A very fun car to drive around town, yet if you drive on the highway or the back roads, you may want to wear glasses (goggles if you have them).
The appearance of the car is stunning. The race inspired details give this car a sport purpose look that just screams, Mille Miglia Rally car.
With the lengthened wheelbase, makes this car more useful for taller or happy food people.
EXTERIOR
The Silver paint is in very nice. Body work was done well (loured hood, roll bar hump, etc). One small paint blemish on the left front corner near bumper hook. The chrome is in good to very good condition. The chrome wheels are excellent. Tires are Vredestein Sport Classic in good condition.
INTERIOR
Beautiful blue interior in excellent condition. Restored with originality in mind. A smaller steering wheel with telescopic function. A radio was added behind the seats, which wasn’t needed. The drive and the sound of the exhaust is the only music needed.
MECHANICAL
The Jaguar 3.4L INLINE 6 is a power house. The legendary overhead cam engine delivers strong pulling power. The S engine was treated to a red paint head (nod to the C type). A larger aluminum radiator, modern alternator are a couple updates. Mechanicals were rebuilt by a Jaguar specialist in the Chicago area. The upgrade disc brakes stop well.
