This 1973 911 S Targa is a two owner history car. Purchased new in 1/1974 at Central Porsche in Wichita KS. The second owner purchased the car in the 1990’s. Car was optioned with Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo with 8-track tape player, 5 speed, Leather seats, Fender strips, engine compartment lite, and air conditioning.
The car has not been restored. It was repainted in 1988. Very good chassis. It runs and drives out well. Shows it’s age. Some oil leaks. In 2019 the car was serviced with rebuilding of fuel system (MFI pump, fuel pump, injectors, cleaned hard lines, new hoses). Also serviced the following in 2019; new ignition wires, spark plugs, shifter bushings, rebuilt rear brake calipers, two new batteries, and a new muffler. Car comes with original window sticker, purchase invoice, warranty book, owner’s manual, tool kit, jack, period style bra, and some service history.
EXTERIOR
Porsche Sepia Brown is in fair condition. Some paint chips and blemishing. The car was repainted in 1988. Glass in good condition. Targa top in good condition. New tires install in 2019.
INTERIOR
The interior shows it’s age. Most of the aging and wear is with the seats and carpet. Overall the interior is clean and good. The dash is in very good condition with only normal or common age crack near passenger side defrost vent. Gauges are clear and working.
MECHANICALS
This 911S has it’s original 2.4L flat six with MFI fuel system. The engine runs, yet it does smoke a little and has some common oil leaks. The MFI system was rebuilt in 2019 and is working well. Engine equipped with upgraded Carrera chain tensioners. Brakes are good with reconditioned rear brake calipers and brake line/hose. Transmission shifts good.
