Under the Hammer: Six from Scottsdale

The Scottsdale auction takes place in under a month. Here's six of our favorite cars going under the hammer. They aren't the flashiest or the biggest ticket items, just the most interesting to us.

Nice 930. Low mileage European model 911 Turbo. The interior is inviting. The gold center BBS wheels are nice for the period correct aftermarket style.

Iconic Mustang cool. The 1966 Shelby GT350 Hertz Fastback. There seems to be a question about this cars documented history, but it’s still cool.

Sometimes cool is flashy. Other times, understated wins the day. . We like this color combo on the 1977 Porsche 930. The Copper Brown exterior doesn’t scream at on lookers. The car has a professional “business man” look about it.

1983 Lotus Turbo Esprit

These earlier examples of the Lotus Esprit drive a wedge into our hearts. The color combos can sometimes be a little too much, but at the same time that’s what makes these cars interesting. The color combo on this one is nice in our opinion. Just plain, 80's cool.

1975 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA 2.7 COUPE

The impact bumper US Carrera. Very nice. Great color combo. Second and final year for the US market 911 Carrera with the CIS 2.7 (same motor as the 2.7S). Same factory look as the Rest of World Carrera, but without the MFI 2.7.
