Sunday Afternoon Drive Film - 1969 East African Safari Rally

In 1969 things seemed to be more relaxing. This film, from Ford Heritage archive, will take you back to 1969 in East Africa where automotive enthusiast take the challenge of extreme endurance of man and machine. The cars from this area may not be the super exotic machines that we see raced today, but the goal and challenge was possibly more difficult. Many of these cars have gone on to be legends from there success in rallies such as the East African Safari Rally. I really enjoy looking back at cars being driven (hard) when they were new.
